Project Unintended!

Hexagonal Coaster/placemat!
Yes this is project unintended!
I made this coaster because i was gifted some beads, and i made use of them, that's all!
But i concieved many -many projects after this creation!
It all happened.... When...
On request of Managing Director Woman’s Era to help their team found out village entrepreneurs and to write script for documentary film, they intended to make one on rural entrepreneurship.
On his request I made tour of several villages near my home town. On a tour to village Mangali near Hisar city, I found about 1/4th of the households make wooden beads from various types of woods (chandan, sisam, khyam, beri, tulsi. Etc). These wooden beads are used as decorative items in various day-to-day uses and household goods, like dress material, shoes, handbags, home decorative such as hangings, necklace, etc. These products have customers ranging from small end to high end in the local, national and international markets (as described by some of the bead makers).
Though the villagers’ only make beads of different sizes and shapes, they simply thread them (don’t know how many in each string? I will count now.) In long sturdy threads and sell in wholesale, it is their livelihood. One of the entrepreneurs gifted me a string of beads. he had a room allotted for beads and heaps of beads were lying in the room. They were looking beautiful I didn’t took any snap of them, in the next trip I will try to have some picks of their whole process and equipments, and will purchase lots of wooden beads to make different projects I conceived in my mind!
See here I tried my hand making coaster/ placemat out of these beads.

it came out hexagonal in shape unintencially!

this side looks better..isn't it!

leftover beads out of a string of beads

closer then above!

Counting the beads in a string. A few must lost here and there while making coaster in shifts.
So the entrepreneur’s make strings of 200 beads each and sell them in bundles.
Have a try!
it's easy but idid'nt remember, how it come out? to make another one deto-copy i have to take lots of efforts!
GOOD BUY!
