The first picture is my home spun fabric yarn. The fabric pieces were so small that I have to tight spun it, not only that I have made this yarn with two strands, twisting them anticlockwise on the drop down spindle… the yarn was spun veeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyy manyaay monttttthas back but made use of them only in the last week.
The second is a 3 foot by 6 foot durry with simple weave; the warps in the piece are raw spun yarn with four strands, while for the warp, I twisted it on the drop down spindle for extra strength again four strands.
For the warp yarn I made skeins of four strand of yarn( which I spun with cotton punies on my charkha) dip the skeins in water for two days changing water every day, then spun it again(when wet) with drop down spindle. When done I wrap it around the back of a chair to dry the made balls of it.
All hand spun by me on charkha and dropdown spindle
I’ve also done some textured pattern, including this one, which has colourful geometrical flowers of hand dyed cotton. I think with the depth of red and orange, it looks like summer when winter is just approaching.
this one is on loom
we visited our farm at our villagestraight below is our orchid garden a big mango tree and ber trees are standing like cobs on the way
here is the picture of deserted three story house in our village......
